Form Bharo — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Form Bharo ("the extension") reads documents (such as ID cards, resumes, business
cards, or similar) that you choose to upload, and uses that information to
automatically fill in web forms on pages you are actively viewing. This page
explains exactly what data is involved and how it is handled.
What data we process
- Document images/PDFs you upload — sent for the sole purpose of extracting
whatever information is relevant to the form you're filling (this may include name,
date of birth, address, ID numbers, email, phone, work history, or other fields,
depending on what kind of document you upload and what the form asks for).
- The actual field labels and dropdown options on the webpage you're filling
— sent alongside the document so the extracted data can be matched to the correct
field by meaning, in any language.
- The extracted field values — used locally, in your browser, to fill matching
fields on the current webpage.
- An anonymous device identifier — a random ID generated on install, used only
to track free-trial scan usage. It contains no personal information and is not linked
to your name, email, or identity.
- A license key, if you purchase one — used only to check your remaining scan
quota.
What we do NOT do
- We do not store uploaded document images or PDFs after a scan is processed.
- We do not sell, share, or use your document data for advertising, profiling, or any
purpose other than filling the form you asked to fill.
- We do not read, log, or transmit the content of unrelated webpages you visit. The
extension only acts on a page when you click "Scan & Populate."
- We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone
number to use the extension.
How document data is processed
When you click "Scan," your uploaded image(s) and the target page's field
descriptions (labels and dropdown options, not the page's content) are sent over an
encrypted (HTTPS) connection either:
- directly to Anthropic's Claude API, if you have entered your own API key in
Settings — in which case Anthropic processes the image under
Anthropic's privacy policy; or
- to our processing service (a Cloudflare Worker we operate), which forwards the image
to Anthropic's Claude API using our own credentials, and returns only the extracted
text fields back to your browser. The image itself is not retained on our server after
the request completes.
Form-filling behavior
The extension only reads and modifies the current webpage's form fields when you
explicitly trigger a scan. It does not run in the background, does not monitor your
browsing, and does not send webpage content anywhere.
Data retention
Document images are not retained. The anonymous device ID and, if applicable, license
key usage count are retained only to enforce scan limits, and contain no personal
information.
Your choices
- You can use your own Anthropic API key (Settings ⚙) if you prefer your data to go
directly to Anthropic rather than through our processing service.
- You can uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored data
(device ID, license key) from your browser.
